peter max: the cosmos created by: amy emerson |
this cosmic world will consist of many different elements. it will all be contained within a giant dark blue sphere illuminated by two-dimensional stars. inside this spherical world you will be able to fly around many different elements. there will be a giant flaming sun, stationary and orbiting planets, space ships with light beams, comets, moons and two tyes of beings: cosmic jumpersand cosmic flyers. this world will be very visually stimulating. the viewer will enjoy catching the cosmic jumpers and dodging the orbiting planets. the world is a hunt for the green cosmic flyer, in fact in order to exit the world you must capture her. inspiration by the artist Peter Max: http://www.petermax.com |

into sign you will see this sign upon entering the cosmos it gives credit to the creator, to the inspiration, peter max as well as giving instructions as to how to exit. |
space ship there will be two or three spaceships orbiting around the world shining their beam, created by a transparent image attatched to a cone, onto the many objects within this cosmic world |
planets there will be planets resembling the earth and saturn, and others simply from the imagination. they are all over this cosmic world: orbiting, spinning and sitting stationary. |
flaming sun the flaming sun will be one of the central eye catchers in this world. It will be spinning on its own axis in order to give the feel of the flames burning. |
comets many comets will be orbiting at a very quick speed. they will zoom around the viewer, giving the illusion that they truly are shooting through space. |
moons a couple moons will be orbiting around the stationary planets as well as scattered about the world. |
cosmic flyers the world will contain three or four cosmic flyers. they are basically of the same design, only the colors of their suits destinguish them from each other. they will be slowly orbiting within the cosmic world. texture not available due to technical difficulties |
cosmic jumpers the world will also contain a few cosmic jumpers who appear to be jumping from planet to planet. again they will be of basically the same design, only there different colored suits will distinguish them |

most of these models were created by simply using
a polygon primative or a combination of a few, then adding a eye-catching
texture, such as the ones illustrated below. others involved a more
complicated method of extruding faces. on models such as the cosmic
flyer, cosmic jumper and angel, extrution was used a lot. i would create
a simple polygon, usually a square. starting at the top of my model
i would slowly build down by extruding the bottom face to the correct
proportion and angle. once my model was finished i would slightly smooth
and then reduce which would in turn triangulate my models and prepare
them for the cave.
